    Masters scholarships and fees

    ELIGIBILITY

    Scholarship applications submitted directly to the Agency by individuals are not eligible for funding.
    Individuals employed by EACEA are not eligible to apply for scholarships.
    Applicants wishing to apply for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship should indicate in the application form if they are category A or B.

    The application to an Erasmus Mundus scholarship Category A and Category B is done using the student Application Form to the IM in NLP & HLT before the 19th December 2011.
    If any student withdraw from the main list, the best students from the waiting list will be upgraded to the main list and will be notified immediately.

    Category A students

    Only third-country and Western Balkans and Turkey Window applicants are eligible to apply for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship Category A.

    With the exception of the EU Member States, the EEA-EFTA states (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway) and the candidate countries for accession to the EU, all countries of the world are considered third countries.

    "Third-country graduate student means a national of a third country other than those from EEA-EFTA States and candidate countries for accession to the European Union; who has already obtained a first higher education degree; who is not a resident of any of the Member States or the participating countries; who has not carried out his or her main activity (studies, work, etc.) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in any of the Member States or the participating countries; and who has been accepted to register or is registered in an Erasmus Mundus Masters Course."

    To qualify as a category A applicant, he/she must not have carried out his or her main activity (studies, work, etc.) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in any of the EU Member States or the countries participating in the Consortium.

    The Category of the "Western Balkans and Turkey Window" means students from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Kosovo under UNSC Resolution 1244/99, as well as from the candidate country: Turkey.

    Category B students:

    Only European students and students who do not belong to the Category A are eligible to apply for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship Category B.

    European students must spend their study period in at least two of the consortium partner countries. At least two of the countries visited during the Master studies must be different from
    the country in which the scholarship holder has obtained his/her last university degree.

    AMOUNT OF FUNDING

    Every student who obtains a scholarship for the first year and is admitted to the second year will receive a scholarship for their second year.

    Category A students

    For the academic years 2012-2013 and 2013-2014, the IM in NLP&HLT Masters programme will have 10 scholarships (Category A) for third-country students in the general category and 2 scholarships in the special category of the "Western Balkans and Turkey Window".

    A scholarship of 24,000 Euros per year (4,000 Euros for installation and 20,000 Euros per year) will be allocated by the European Community to the best applicants.

    The total sum of each scholarship is 48,000 Euros and covers tuition fees and living expenses as well as insurance.

    Category B students

    For the academic years 2012-2013 and 2013-2014, the IM in NLP&HLT Masters programme will have 8 scholarships (Category B) for Europan students and students who do not belong to the category A.
    A scholarship of 9,500 Euros per year will be allocated by the European Community to the best applicants.

    The total sum of each scholarship is 19,000 Euros and covers tuition fees and insurance.

    TUITION FEES

    Successful applicants will be required to pay the following tuition fees (applicants who will receive an Erasmus Mundus scholarship will be exempt from paying the tuition fees, which will be deducted from the grant). The tuition fees cover everything relating to training, accompanying and tutorial system, insurance and do not include the cost of living expenses and accommodation.

    Category A students

    Fees for Category A students with or without grant: 8,000 Euros per year.

    Category B students

    Fees for category B students with or without grant: 3,500 Euros per year.
